Call for Demos

Showcase technologies, systems, prototypes, and creative work.

Demos showcase AI in action: working systems, prototypes, tools, and creative work that are best experienced rather than described. We welcome demos from academia, industry, startups, and independent creators on any of the Cross-AI Topics, at any stage from early prototype to deployed product. Examples include:

  • Research prototypes, systems, and tools.
  • Products, platforms, and services from companies and startups.
  • Interactive installations, performances, and other creative work.
  • Open-source software, interactive datasets, and developer tools.

For Startups and Industry

Demos are an opportunity to show your work to researchers, practitioners, and potential collaborators across disciplines. Commercial products are welcome, provided the submission focuses on what the system does and how it works rather than on promotion.

If you want to share practical insight, new trends, or real-world case studies rather than show a system, submit an Industry Talk instead. See Submission Types.

Submission Categories

Demos are submitted in one of two categories. Both may be directed to the main program, a frontier session, or a workshop.

Criteria for Demos

Both categories are evaluated on:

  • Functionality. Demonstrates a working system rather than slides or mockups.
  • Novelty. Introduces a new capability, application, interaction, or creative approach.
  • Relevance. Connects to one or more Cross-AI Topics and articulates its significance.
  • Engagement. Gives audiences an opportunity to see, try, or discuss the work.

Author and Submission Guidelines

All submissions are made through the AirBalloon conference management system, following the Author and Submission Guidelines.

At least one author or presenter of each accepted demo must register.

Media Hosting

Media hosting is available only for accepted submissions. Their presentation pre-recordings, demo videos, e-posters, audio, and other approved media will be hosted on the conference platform and made openly accessible for up to two years.
