FINI: Finance and Insurance in the Intelligence Era
AI Agents as Economic Actors, Compute as Capital, Quantum-Safe Trust, and Finance Beyond Earth
Introduction
Artificial intelligence is reshaping how economic value is created, capital is allocated, risk is managed, and financial systems operate. The convergence of frontier AI, autonomous agents, tokenization, blockchain, and advanced computing is giving rise to a new paradigm: the Intelligence Economy.
In this emerging economy, AI agents will become autonomous economic actors capable of reasoning, negotiating, transacting, and coordinating with other agents and institutions. Financial foundation models, agentic AI, and multi-agent systems will enable autonomous financial intelligence, while agent-to-agent (A2A) and machine-to-machine (M2M) transactions will drive machine-native commerce. Tokenization, programmable money, and decentralized infrastructure will transform asset ownership, capital markets, and economic exchange.
Meanwhile, GPUs, compute networks, and AI data centers are emerging as strategic productive assets, creating new markets for compute capital, infrastructure financing, and tokenized computing resources. Post-quantum cryptography, confidential computing, and privacy-preserving technologies will establish the digital trust required for increasingly autonomous financial systems. Beyond Earth, orbital data centers, space-based computing, and extraterrestrial resource development will open new frontiers for finance, investment, and insurance.
Insurance will also be transformed through AI-driven underwriting, continuous risk assessment, dynamic pricing, and automated risk transfer, while new categories of risk emerge around AI agents, autonomous systems, compute infrastructure, and space assets.
The Finance and Insurance in the Intelligence Era (FINI) session explores the technological, financial, and economic foundations of this transformation. We seek original and visionary research that moves beyond applying AI to existing financial systems toward reimagining financial and insurance architectures for autonomous economic actors, computational capital, machine-native transactions, and emerging digital infrastructure.
By bringing together researchers and innovators across artificial intelligence, finance, insurance, computing, and cryptography, FINI aims to advance the financial and insurance foundations of the Intelligence Economy and help define the architectures, technologies, and economic models of an increasingly intelligent, autonomous, interconnected, and ultimately multi-planetary economy.
