Ecosystem Programme 4 of 6
Cross-AI Expo
Connecting emerging technologies, research, industry and innovation.
What exists today: exhibitor and sponsor conversations for Cross-AI 2027 are handled directly by email, and every package is confirmed in writing. The self-service module is being built; it changes how you book, not whether you can.
A showcase for work that is easier to demonstrate than to describe: instruments, systems, prototypes, and research that wants to be seen running.
Where research meets everything downstream of it
A great deal of what matters in this field cannot be conveyed by a talk. A robot either walks or it does not. A model either responds in real time or it stutters. An instrument either resolves the signal or it does not. The Expo is the floor where those things are switched on in front of people who can judge them.
It is also the one place in the programme where the boundary between research and industry is treated as uninteresting. A university group and a company can occupy adjacent space and be read on the same terms: what have you built, and does it work?
Who exhibits
Research groups showing systems, prototypes, and instruments. Companies and labs whose work is genuinely adjacent to the programme. Startups, spin-outs, and open-source projects. Publishers, funders, and infrastructure providers the community actually uses.
Space is allocated against the programme rather than sold to the highest bidder. An exhibitor whose work sits on none of the crossings the edition covers is a worse floor for everyone, and we would rather say so early than take the booking.
Demonstrations, not booths
The floor is built around scheduled demonstrations with a real audience and a real question period, not around signage. Exhibitors get a slot, a room that is quiet enough for it, and a listing that says what will be shown and when — the same treatment a session in the main programme gets.
Sponsorship, stated plainly
Sponsors are named, their tier is published, and no sponsor selects, reviews, or influences a single item of programme content. That separation is a condition of the package, and it is written into it rather than assumed.
