Organised around crossings, not parallel tracks
Most conferences begin with a list of topics and then hope the right people find each other in the corridors. Cross-AI begins from the other end. The programme is assembled from named intersections — neuroscience × artificial intelligence, robotics × space technology, creative practice × advanced computing — and each one carries its own sessions, its own reviewers, and its own room.
The consequence is deliberate: a paper is not judged only by how well it advances one field, but by whether it says something the two fields could not have said apart. Work that is merely adjacent to a second discipline reads differently under that question, and it should.
What an edition includes
Two days of main programme plus a workshop day. Keynotes and invited talks sit in a single track so that the whole audience shares a reference point; contributed work runs in parallel crossings. Around them sit tutorials, poster and demonstration sessions, the Expo floor, and the informal programme that is usually the reason people travel.
Every edition is hybrid by design rather than by concession. Remote participants get the same programme, the same question queue, and the same proceedings — not a video feed of a room they are not in.
Proceedings and review
Reviewing is double-anonymous, and each submission is read by reviewers drawn from both sides of its crossing. Accepted papers are published as open-access proceedings under a permanent identifier; nothing behind a paywall, and nothing that disappears when a conference site is retired.
