Propose a Frontier Session
Create interdisciplinary conversations around emerging questions.
Frontier Sessions are designed to bring together perspectives that rarely meet within traditional conference settings. Rather than being organized around a single discipline, profession, or sector, Frontier Sessions are built around a compelling question, problem, or challenge.
We invite proposals for panels, roundtables, interactive discussions, idea labs, lightning-talk sessions, and other experimental formats that connect perspectives across academia, industry, government, nonprofits, and other communities of practice. Sessions might explore an emerging research idea, a new technology or application, a complex societal challenge, a shared problem across sectors, or a provocative question that benefits from multiple perspectives.
The goal is to create opportunities for different forms of knowledge and experience to inform one another, challenge assumptions, and generate new ideas across boundaries.
All proposal dates and formats are to be announced.
What makes a strong proposal
A strong Frontier Session identifies an intersection: the communities it brings together, and the question that none can answer alone.
We look for proposals that:
- Connect disciplines, sectors, or communities that rarely share a room.
- Center on a shared question, challenge, or opportunity—not simply a collection of talks.
- Make clear why the intersection matters and what new insight it could unlock.
- Create genuine exchange, debate, or collaboration.
Topics
Frontier Sessions are proposed against the eight Cross-AI Topics. Sessions spanning multiple topics are welcome — identify the topics and explain why the combination matters.
Frontier Sessions that sit under Topic 08 — New Cross-Disciplinary & Emerging AI are particularly encouraged: it exists for work whose field does not exist yet.
